Service Terms and Conditions
1. Services
Shootify provides professional product photography and visual content services for eCommerce and online sellers, including but not limited to product photography, ghost mannequin photography, flat lay photography, on-model photography, product video, 360° imagery, and related services. Services are provided throughout the United States on a remote basis, with products shipped to Shootify’s studio.
2. Booking, Products, and Payment
Clients begin by shipping products to our studio. Once items arrive and are confirmed (correct models, in good condition, matching the quote), we send an invoice. We will not start work until the invoice is paid. Shootify’s policy is to “confirm that the items match the proposal, then send you an invoice. Once payment is made…we move forward with the shoot. As standard practice, photography does not start until payment is received. Clients should also provide any shot lists, styling notes, or image references at this time; missing information may delay the shoot or affect final results. In short, our clock for delivery only starts when we have the products, instructions, and payment in hand (products in acceptable condition, correct items, and clear shoot requirements provided).
3. Client-Provided Instructions & Creative Direction
Client Responsibilities
The Client is solely responsible for providing all creative and technical instructions required for the project prior to the start of production. This includes, but is not limited to:
- A detailed shot list
- The number of images requested
- Image references for lighting, angles, positioning, styling, and background
- Image specifications, including file format, resolution, aspect ratio, and platform requirements
- Any additional written instructions related to product presentation
Shootify executes all projects strictly based on the information provided by the Client.
If the Client fails to provide sufficient instructions, references, or specifications, Shootify will proceed using its professional judgment and creative discretion. In such cases, the resulting images shall be considered compliant with the agreed scope of work. Shootify is not responsible for creative dissatisfaction resulting from missing, incomplete, unclear, or late instructions.
- Optional Creative Direction
- Creative direction is not included unless explicitly requested and approved in advance.
If the Client wishes to receive creative direction from the Shootify team, this service is available for an additional fee. When creative direction is added, Shootify will collaborate directly with the Client to:
- Create a mood board
- Develop a shot list
- Guide the Client through the creative and production process prior to shooting
Creative direction services must be requested and approved before production begins. Any creative guidance requested after production has started may result in additional fees and schedule adjustments.

Shipping, Handling, and Returns
Client Responsibility and Insurance
The Client is responsible for all inbound and outbound shipping costs.
- Products must be properly packed and clearly labeled.
- Any special handling instructions must be included with the shipment.
Shootify is not responsible for loss or damage that occurs during shipping to or from the studio.
Return Shipping and Fees
Clients may choose one of the following options after the shoot is completed:
- Free disposal: Products can be discarded at no charge.
- Product return:
- The Client pays for return shipping or provides a prepaid shipping label.
- A $20 handling, preparation, and packing fee per package applies to all returns.
- If Shootify is required to drop off the package at a shipping carrier, an additional $20 per package fee applies.
All shipping costs are the responsibility of the Client.
Storage and Abandoned Products
- Products are held for a limited time (30 calendar days) after project completion to allow return arrangements.
- If no return instructions or shipping label are provided within this timeframe, products may be considered abandoned.
- Abandoned products may be discarded or donated at Shootify’s discretion.
Liability on Returns
Once a product leaves Shootify’s studio — including when Shootify arranges shipping — Shootify assumes no liability for loss, damage, or delays. Any claims must be made directly with the shipping carrier.
5. Image Editing and Revisions
- Instruction and reference requirement: Emphasize that clients must provide clear shot lists, style references, or notes in advance. If clients do not give sufficient guidance (e.g. sample images or direction), the studio is not obligated to revise for unmet expectations. We will proceed based on our best judgment if instructions are missing, but make it clear incomplete instructions may limit revision options.
All images include standard retouching (color correction, exposure, and cropping). Premium retouching is available for an additional fee and includes advanced cleanup, reshaping, texture work, and detailed refinements. Clients may request one round of edits (corrections) within the review period at no charge. We ask clients to give clear instructions or reference images for edits: Please highlight areas needing attention and provide clear instructions or references. If the client fails to provide needed information (styles or references), we will use our creative discretion to edit images. Re-shoots or major changes due to missing instructions will incur additional fees. Complex edits beyond basic cleanup (like major compositing or changing product shape) are considered extra services and are charged separately.
Images are delivered based on the specifications provided by the client prior to the start of the project. If no specifications are supplied in advance, images will be delivered in the default format and size, and any additional sizing or formatting requests will be available for an additional fee of $2 per image.
- Included Edits: Basic retouch (color, cleanup, cropping) is included for each image.
- Client Review: Client gets an approval link and typically has 8 days to request retouching corrections. Clear references are appreciated.
- Additional Work: Extra edits (beyond one round or outside the review window) or re-shoots cost extra.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Once we have started work (i.e., received products and accepted payment), orders cannot be cancelled and fees are non-refundable. This means after your items arrive and payment is made, we proceed with the shoot and editing, and those charges are due in full. If a client approves the final images, no further changes or credits are issued. Any termination or cancellation after work has begun does not entitle the client to a refund. (If a client cancels before the shoot date, studio rescheduling/cancellation policies apply; these should be arranged at booking.)
- No Cancellations: Once products and payment are received and shooting begins, the order is considered confirmed. For on-model shoots, once studio time and the production team (including models, hair, and makeup) are booked and confirmed, the shoot is non-cancelable and non-refundable.
- No Refunds: We do not offer refunds for photography, retouching, or add-on services once the images have been completed and delivered. Complimentary or paid revisions may be available to help align the final results with expectations. Please note that if required shooting details — such as photography style for specific items, a detailed shot list, or other instructions — are not provided in advance, this may result in misunderstandings and may require paid revisions or paid reshoots.
- Approval: When you approve final images, the project is closed — no additional changes, re-shoots, or refunds will be given.
7. Rights and Usage
We retain copyright to the images we create (as is standard practice) and grant clients a license to use them. In other words, the client receives full rights to use the final photos for their own marketing and sales once paid, but the photographer (our studio) remains the owner of the work. We grant a broad, non-exclusive, royalty-free license so the client can post the images on their website, social media, catalogs, and advertisements. Shootify explicitly reserves the right to also use any delivered images for our own portfolio and promotional purposes. This means we may display final images on our website, social media, or in advertising to showcase our work – a common clause in photography agreements. We will not claim ownership of the products themselves, only the photographs, and we do not resell the images to third parties.
- Client License: Upon full payment, the client gets permission (a license) to use the images as needed for their business (website, ads, catalogs, etc.).
- Studio Rights: We (the studio) keep copyright and may use the images for self-promotion (on our site, social media, etc.) as portfolio examples.
- Restrictions: Images may not be sold or sublicensed to others. If clients need exclusive rights or additional licenses (e.g. for re-selling products or exclusive campaigns), we can arrange a separate agreement or fee.
Additional Provisions
- Coverage: Our services are offered nationwide across the USA. Clients can ship products from anywhere in the country (including Alaska or Hawaii) and receive the same service.
- Legal: These terms are governed by applicable U.S. law. By placing an order, the client agrees to these conditions.
- Force Majeure: We are not responsible for delays due to events beyond our control (natural disasters, strikes, shipping delays, etc.). In such cases, new timelines will be mutually agreed.
